Women in Global Health: International Women’s Day Celebration (45 minutes)

The last day of AHAIC 2019 falls on the eve of International Women’s Day. This commemoration ceremony will feature a panel discussion on gender equity in UHC and an award ceremony recognising the contributions of women leaders who have dedicated their lives to advocating for better health in Africa. The session will also serve as the official launch of the Women in Global Health African Regional Hub, to carry forward conversations initiated at the conference and accelerate action to advance health and wellbeing of girls and women in Africa.
