Claire is the International Programmes Director at Babylon Health, a global leader in digital health with a mission to democratise healthcare by putting an accessible and affordable health service into the hands of every person on earth.
Claire leads Babylon’s expansion in Sub-Saharan Africa, building on the success of Babyl in Rwanda, through strategic partnerships with Governments, private sector partners, NGOs and development partners.
Claire has worked in the international non-profit and social enterprises for nearly 20 years with senior leadership experience in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. After working for the Colombian Government in trade and investment promotion, Claire joined Marie Stopes International, initially working on Latin America and progressing to be Regional Director Africa and Latin America, VP and Deputy Director of International Programmes, and VP/Interim Director of International Programmes. Claire led and managed significant expansion of Marie Stopes International programmes both in existing countries and through the establishment of innovative new programmes. This extended the reach of MSI’s sexual and reproductive health services (through clinics, outreach, social franchising and social marketing), marketing and communications to clients, and engagement with policy makers to create more enabling environments for sustained change and health impact. Claire fostered strategic partnerships with key ministries, bi-lateral and multilateral donors, trusts and foundation and other NGOs and private sector providers.
Claire is on the board of Marie Stopes International and Options for International Health.
Claire has a degree in Human Sciences from Oxford University and a Masters from University of London.
