Amref Health Africa invites media professionals and content creators to apply for a press pass to attend the 2025 Africa Health Agenda International Conference (AHAIC). This is a unique opportunity to engage in and report on transformative discussions addressing the social determinants of health that impact equitable health outcomes across Africa.

What’s Included?

As an accredited media representative, you will enjoy complimentary access to all conference sessions, exhibition halls, the media room, press conferences, and exclusive press materials. While registration is free, attendees are responsible for their own accommodation and travel expenses.

Scholarship Opportunity

Amref is offering a limited number of scholarships to support journalists and content creators attending the conference. Accreditation Timeline

The application process opens on October 1, 2024, and will close on February 25, 2025. Don’t wait – apply early for your media pass and secure your place at this pivotal event.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to professional journalists, freelance reporters, and content creators.
  • Journalists must present a valid national or international press ID. Content creators not affiliated with a media organisation should provide a valid photo ID, such as a passport.
  • All applicants, even from the same media outlet, must apply separately. Multiple representatives from the same outlet are welcome.

Badge Collection

Accredited media will collect their official badges at the Kigali Convention Centre (KCC) between March 1-4, 2025. Be sure to bring your identification for verification at the registration desk.

Visa Information

Visitors from the African Union, Commonwealth, and La Francophonie member states can enter Rwanda visa-free for up to 30 days. Travelers from other nations can obtain a 30-day visa upon arrival. Ensure you complete the media accreditation process through the AHAIC website before applying for your visa. If you plan to cover events in Rwanda beyond AHAIC 2025, please submit a separate request to the Rwandan Government. Journalists covering only AHAIC do not need additional approvals.
