Esite E. Winifred is a final year Medical student at Niger Delta University, and was the first female president of the Federation of African Medical Students Associations (FAMSA) which is a continental umbrella body for medical students across Africa. She has also held other leadership positions in the student’s associations at her university and national level; Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA) and used these platforms to coordinate activities aimed at advocating and promoting better health for young people in Sub-Saharan Africa.
She has used up all her opportunities to empower and act as a model for the young females across Africa to create change in their communities.
Her core values are respect, justice and service to others which have formed a basis of excellence in all leadership positions she handles. She is passionate about the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and is open to adding her experience to the global healthcare discussions to ensure effective implementation of the Universal Health Coverage Vision 2030.
