The Africa Health Agenda International Conference (AHAIC) is a biennial conference convened by Amref Health Africa, the largest international health development NGO in Africa. The theme of the 2019 conference is 2030 Now: Multisectoral Action to Achieve Universal Health Coverage in Africa. AHAIC 2019 will serve as a platform to map out how African countries can achieve universal health coverage (UHC) by 2030 by encouraging crosspollination of ideas and nurturing home-grown solutions.
The AHAIC 2019 Youth Pre-Conference is scheduled to take place from 3-4 March 2019 in Kigali, Rwanda, at the Kigali Convention Centre. This Pan-African youth convening will be an opportunity to bring together over 300 youth leaders, professionals and future leaders from across the continent to network and be at the center of critical discussions on the future of UHC in Africa. Reinforcing the slogan – Nothing About Us, Without Us – the 2019 Youth Pre-Conference will be an opportunity to put into action the priorities identified by nearly 250 youth from 15 African countries during the 2017 Youth Pre-Conference.
