Michael M. Kachumi is the Director of Grants, Compliance & Risk Management at CHAZ. He has over 18 years of experience in public health and financing. Michael has worked in strengthening Community Systems and Resilient Health Systems, particularly in strategy development, grant and program management, governance, service delivery, PSCM, Finance, capacity building, and Risk management to mention a few. He has additional expertise and experience in leadership and change management. He has managed grant applications of over $400m to $500m while managing grant portfolios of over $120m.

Michael is a candidate for a Doctorate of Business Administration from Binary University College of Management & Entrepreneurship, majoring in Financial Sustainability of local organizations. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Oxford Brookes University, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, an Associate member of the Association of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in the United Kingdom, A Gates Scholar from Florida University, A Financial Administrator from Zambia Institute of Business College Trust, A qualified Systems Application Product Consultant, and a qualified Arbitrator from Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the United Kingdom. He has over 24 years of experience.
