Landry Dongmo Tsague

Senior Health Adviser, UNICEF to AU and UNECA

Dr Landry Dongmo Tsague is the UNICEF Senior Health Adviser to the African Union and Economic Commission for Africa. He serves as the coordinator for the UNICEF partnership with Africa CDC. Previously, he served in various technical leadership roles with UNICEF, including Regional Health and HIV/AIDS Adviser for West and Central Africa and Chief HIV in Zambia and Rwanda. Before UNICEF, Landry served as Senior Technical Adviser with ICAP Columbia University in Rwanda and as Chief of Service for the PMTCT program in the Ministry of Health in Cameroon.

He brings diverse and rich experience designing, managing, and evaluating public health programs (HIV/AIDS, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Immunization and Health System Strengthening). He previously managed strategic partnerships with UNAIDS, WHO, GAVI, EU, and the Global Fund.

Landry has served on the Scientific Committee of the International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA), the International Conference on AIDS and STI in Africa (ICASA) and the WHO HIV/AIDS Guidelines Development Experts’ Committee. He is a managing editor and co-founder of the Panafrican Medical Journal. Landry holds a Doctoral Degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of Yaoundé, Cameroon. He is a global health Foege Fellow from the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, Atlanta, USA. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Western Cape, South Africa.
