For many years, I suffered from severe back pain and had sought multiple treatment options, exhausting all my savings. However, there was no improvement and I was left sick and with a financial burden. I was enrolled by a community volunteer who showed up at my doorstep, registered me and later gave me a card which allowed me access to a health centre of my choice without any out-of-pocket payment required. I got treatment I needed and futhermore, I did not spend any money on this intense healthcare journey and for that I’m full of gratitude to UHC.
