Workers serving more than two thousand people. Every morning she walks miles under the rising sun, carrying a small kit packed with vaccines, gloves, and hope.

“Some days I arrive at a home and the mother is already waiting with her baby,” she says with a quiet smile. “They call me daktari now, and that makes me proud.”
Through Amref’s primary healthcare programme, Rose received training on maternal and child health, digital data collection, and emergency response. Today she helps mothers deliver safely, ensures children receive their vaccines, and teaches families about clean water and nutrition.
Her story is one of millions. Each voice, from Rose to the families she serves, adds strength to a growing call for quality healthcare in every community. 8 Million Voices for Primary Healthcare is more than a campaign. It is a movement powered by people like Rose who remind us that lasting change begins with those closest to the community.
