Polly Walker – D.Phil, BSc (Hons)
Polly is a public health specialist & community health expert with 18 years of experience in strategy & program design for sexual, reproductive, maternal and child health, and community health systems. As a recognised expert in community health workforce, she has served as a consultant to Ministries of Health in development of strategies and curricula and was a member of the WHO CHW Guidelines Development Group. Polly worked for 9 years for World Vision International leading the scale-up of their CHW programming portfolio and expanding from 11 to 48 countries. She led the roll-out of WV’s comprehensive family-inclusive approach Timed and Targeted Counselling, for which she is co-author. She is the principal author of the CHW Gender Framework and has written over 30 curricula for health workforce training during her career.
